Named for its lunar glow, the white moonstone is a feldspar mineral that exhibits a soft and watery opacity and a silvery-white reflection called "chatoyancy" that moves like a line across the surface. It is said to to resemble new beginnings and to be worn based off the astrology of the moon. Common deposits are found in Sri lanka, Australia, Mexico, Madagascar, Poland, and India
