Labradorite is a Feldspar, which is a group of rock-forming minerals that make up over 50% of the Earth's Crust. It is a special stone because it creates its own optical effect appearance called Labradorescence, this is made when light enters the stone and it gets reflected inside and all around within the stone creating a variety of colours. You can find Labradorite in Canada, Madagascar, Finland, Norway, Sri-Lanka, Russia and Australia.
It is a soft stone, which means it can get scratched fairly easily but it will take a lot of force to crack or break. If you want to wear this stone as jewellery, we highly recommend you to set it in a protective setting or wear it as necklace or an earring to prevent it getting damaged from daily wear and tear.
