Tiger Eye Cabs, Round, Red, 12 mm

Tiger Eye stones get their colour from the quartz Hawks-Eye, where the iron oxidises to a brown colour, keeping the fibrous structure. Typically Tiger Eyes display chatoyant stripes with a brown, reddish or amber colouring. When cut, the surface shows a reminiscent of a reddish tiger's eye, hence the name.
