These have a wonderful lustre and sparkle (hard to do justice to in the photo). 
The beads are are 1.8-2.4mm in diameter

As we all know, diamonds are extremely hard; so they can wear through stringing materials faster than other gems. Try Fireline or 49 strand tiger tail.

Toughness (resistance to fracture) good (they have difficult, but perfect cleavage in 4 directions)
Stability (resistance to chemicals, UV etc.) excellent
