Apatite gemstone can be found all over the world, but mainly in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Russia, Burma and Mexico. Their appearence can be very similar to other gemstones, such as Peridot, Topaz and Aquamarine, which means they often get muddled up. This gemstone can be very brittle so it must be handled with care, if making them into a ring, they should be made with a protective setting, ie. setting strip round for a border or in a bezel cup.
